Should Your Gerbil Have a Companion PLR

Gerbils are group pets that socialize a lot, so they need a companion in their cage. We know you might be a first-time gerbil parent and want to choose one, but nothing is wrong with that, as they can also live alone. In the wild, they live in groups where a male and female would be the head, followed by generations of pups nesting in the same burrow.

As such, when you have your domesticated gerbil, giving them a little company to get around and socialize with is ideal. No matter how much you socialize with them throughout the day, they still need a friend of their species to play and interact with. They might get bored over time, so you don’t want that to happen.
