According to the Autism speaks website, Autism in human beings is a condition that results in behavioral challenges, social skills challenges, communication, and coordination challenges. Autism affects 1 in 44 children in the USA. Dogs also suffer from autism. The professional term for it is Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (CCD). Researchers and animal behaviorists say that dogs who suffer from CCD exhibit certain behavioral characteristics; such as being too aggressive to their owners, creating too much disturbance in the house, poor sleeping cycles, poor social skills with other pets, and slow reactions to certain circumstances.
