Reptiles are just like us because they, too, get warm over time. But, before you do anything about it, you have to check to see if it is too warm. If you check your thermometer and realize it is outside your snake’s average range, you need to do something about it. 

So, how do you know if your snake is too hot? Snakes will start to “stargaze,” which is a disease that causes behavioral issues. If you notice they start lifting and tilting their head backward or show symptoms of fits, it is a cause for alarm. This could get rather serious if the issue is not remedied immediately.

There may come a time when it will get really hot, but there are certain steps you can take to get the problem corrected.
